Home Again

Another trip is in the books.  Another 1936 miles on the RV, and not one, but two lifetimes lived (or so it seems).  For trips, this one was crazier than most, with a trip to Washington as a spur to the main trip (lifetime #1), and then the planned houseboat trip (lifetime #2).

This last segment of the trip we’ve driven many times before, from the Mackinac Bridge to our house, so really nothing new trip-wise.

In St. Ignace, we stopped at the Mackinac Straits Fish Company for some smoked salmon.  We also noticed they were selling some Stormy Kromer hats for considerably less than retail.  So I did what I couldn’t do twice at the Stormy Kromer factory in Ironwood.  I bought a hat.  I couldn’t get it at the factory, but I could get it at a fish store in St. Ignace.  Go figure.

Other than a lunch in Lake City, parked by the side of Lake Missaukee, it was a straight shot home.

Home Again

We’re home.  We made the usual stop in Shipshewana, Indiana at Deb’s favorite grocery store, then came straight home, arriving at about 1pm....
