Another beautiful day here in Southeast Texas, low 70’s, mix of clouds and sun. I’m seeing in the forecasts that Snowmageddon is poised to strike Michigan in a couple of days, and have been getting emails advising of shutdowns for various places. We are not escaping this entirely, however. We’re supposed to get down to 20 degrees in a couple of days, part of a cold snap that will be here for about three days. This area is not accustomed to temperatures below freezing so today a couple of people spent time wrapping all the exposed plumbing and faucets with insulation and trash bags. And there are a lot of them. On Monday, the high is supposed to be 37.
And we’re supposed to install more air conditioners on Monday. A bit ironic, if you think about it.
Four A/C units arrived last night so we were able to install these, getting them in the walls, wired up, with only the trim to finish. Good progress for the day.
We were once again served a great lunch, with catfish, shrimp, crab cakes, salad, and ice cream, cookies. I probably won’t lose weight on this trip like I usually do on other trips.
This evening we gathered back in the cafeteria for a game night and several of us played Pegs and Jokers, and had more ice cream with all the fixin’s.
And with that, the first week is in the books. We’ll probably take off and do some exploring tomorrow
